Founder of the College of Universal Science and author of the well-known book, "Divine Healing of Mind and Body" Dr. MacDonald-Bayne was born in Scotland in 1887.

During his lifetime he travelled throughout the world healing thousands of people of all kinds of diseases and taught the Truth of the Law of Being to many thousands more.

He was fondly referred to as "Dr. Mac" by his students who often spoke of seeing him overshadowed by a higher being during his lectures.

It is said that he journeyed several times into India and Tibet where he spent long periods (recounted in "Beyond the Himalayas" and it's sequel "The Yoga of the Christ") in the company of true Masters of the Tibetan Himalayas.

There his powers to heal were strengthened and he received greater enlightenment for his mission to reveal those profound teachings to the outside world.

The developed spiritual power and wisdom he acquired is reflected in the writings of his first books, "The Higher Power You Can Use" and "I Am the Life".

After establishing spiritual centres in several countries, Dr. Mac spent time in New Zealand and Australia during the early 1940s and by 1944 he settled in South Africa where he continued to heal and give lectures twice a week, some of which were recorded.

He also produced during this period (The Higher Power You Can Use, I Am the Life, Heal Yourself, Spiritual & Mental Healing, What is Mine is Thine I & II, Divine Healing of Mind & Body, How to Relax and Revitalise Yourself, Your Life Renewed Every Day, Beyond the Himalayas, The Yoga of the Christ).

During a visit to England he passed over suddenly in London, February 1955. Murdo passed away he left behind a lot of unpublished material in the form of Lecture Notes (1947-54).

These were given out to his students prior to his Lectures. On the actual night he would expand upon these notes in his Lecture, some of which were sound recorded.

Mystica Publications Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand became committed to transcribing the sound recordings of those Lectures, combining them with the Lecture Notes, and bringing them out in book & CD form.

So far they have posthumously published Murdo’s unpublished Lectures; Cosmic Consciousness: Your Silent Partner - Lecture Notes 1947-8, Life Everlasting: 2nd revised Edition 1948-9, Developing Your Faith 1949-50, Life More Abundant 1951, The Word of Creation 1952, Part 1, The Secrets of the Science of Life 1952, Part 2 and Wisdom is the Fountain of Life 1953. The Spring of Living Water is Within 1954.

Mystica have also published new expanded definitive editions of; The Higher Power You Can Use (with Commentary by Murdo) and What is Mine is Thine (One Volume Edition), How to Relax and Revitalise Yourself: Lecture Notes 1950. Your Life Renewed Every Day: Expanded Revised Edition. Beyond the Himalayas with Yoga of the Christ (One volume Edition).

Between Nov. 1947 to Feb. 1955 Monthly Newsletters were published and mailed out to Students and non-students alike, not only in South Africa, but Worldwide. These have now been published in a one volume edition under the original title of the Newsletters - The Sanctuary of the Silent Healing Power.

All of the material sanctioned by Murdo since he came out of Tibet in   1937 is available at the College of Universal Science as it was to his students in South Africa. 

All of his books, lectures and known original sound recordings are made freely available to today’s students. 

This is a self teaching site. You have to do the work and it is not easy.  

No one can give you the Truth, Enlightenment, Cosmic Consciousness, that already lies within you, you have to make the effort to connect with it and bring that part of you which is REAL to the forefront.

The Course is presented in 4 stages:

1: Beginners: An Introduction.

2:  Intermediate.

3: Advanced I.

4: Advanced II

Recordings between 1947-54.

Murdo gave weekly Lectures in both Johannesburg and Pretoria, South Africa.

Over 100 of these Lectures were recorded onto magnetized stainless steel “wire” spools. Some later Lectures were recorded onto Reel to Reel magnetized tape.

131 recordings have survived and now you can hear this Masters voice as it sounded to his students.

The quality of the original recordings varies given the technology of the time. Every effort has been made to enhance these historic recordings.
